Resilience and Love
My name is Montie Wren, and my life has been a testament to resilience, love, and the enduring strength of family. I was born in the small town of Kermit, Texas, and each chapter of my life has been filled with lessons and memories that have shaped who I am today.
I dedicated 36 years to working at Shell Oil Company, experiencing various roles across four different locations. This journey didn't just shape my professional life; it instilled in me a deep appreciation for dedication and hard work. My career, while significant, pales in comparison to my devotion to my family, which has always been my guiding light through life’s ups and downs.
Tragedy struck when my first wife passed away from breast cancer at the young age of 44. This profound loss was a pivotal moment in my life, teaching me the depths of sorrow but also the incredible strength of the human spirit. Through my grief, I remained a pillar of strength for our daughter, who has grown into a remarkable young woman set to graduate high school in 2025. Being an older dad at 63, I cherish every moment with her, embracing the joys and challenges of fatherhood with open arms.
Adding to my joy is my girlfriend, a sweet and loving partner who brings light and laughter into my life. She keeps me in line, sharing in the joys of my golden years and supporting me through everyday moments.
My life story is one of enduring the hardest of times and emerging with a heart full of gratitude and a life filled with love. It’s a reminder that life doesn’t always turn out the way we plan, but with resilience and love, we can embrace the beauty in the journey and the people who make it worthwhile.
Join me in celebrating a life that reminds us of the power of resilience, the importance of family, and the unending capacity to love and be loved.
